Casing and lock
The total weight of the Microvault is 9.7 pounds. The Gunvault GV2000S micro vault can house guns lesser than 15 x 10.5 x 8.2 inches in size. The case body is made up of heavy gauge steel housing from the outside. The steel is certified of 20-gauge steel.
From the inside the casing is lined up with soft from the inside to prevent the gun from rattling around. The inbuilt computer automatically locks the microvault and puts the lock to sleep to for two minutes if more than 24 wrong entries are made. When the intruder tries to tamper in, every key press will give out a beep sound warning the owner.
Warning beep
The inbuilt computer lock mechanism also has a beep indicator and a LED light. The red light turns red in case of incorrect entry and glows green with the correct entry of the combination keys. If the number of wrong attempts goes more than 24 times and still the intruder continues to try entering a wrong key the inbuilt computer makes a beep sound for every button presentencing to warn the owner of the intrusion of the Micro vault. The whole of the warning beep system can be muted or unmuted with the button that is present inside the vault.
Override key and security?
The GunVauIt GV2000S microvault Gun safe comes with a physical override key, which can be straightaway used to override the combination lock. Spare keys are provided in the package. In case the combination sequence lock is forgotten or doesn’t seem to work, the override key can be used to open the microvault and later the lock can be reset with the reset button present inside the microvault.
The microvault comes with inbuilt screw carvings in the bottom enabling it to mount it over the wall, table, car console, and others with ease. It also has a provision to attach a security cable to prevent the lock from moving. The string 15OG-Ib strong and a 4 feet cable is provided in the box.
